When Hayley first mentioned this Act of Kindness idea to me I thought it was a wonderful idea, but I was not surprised. I thought this was a great way to honor Heller’s memory.
Today I went by a Rehabilitation Center for senior citizens and dropped a bag full of little things like, toothbrushes, socks, picture frames and crossroad puzzles. The look of appreciation was just wonderful. I will not stop but continue to spread some kindness throughout the year in honor of Heller.
As much as I know this could have been a very difficult day it turned out to be such a beautiful day and I was honored to be able to share this special day with you and your family. I am thankful that you and your family have come into my life.

** A Side note - Maryann also took the afternoon off from work to spend Heller's Day with us. She joined us as we purchased pizzas for the local firefighters and took them to the firehouse to let them know how grateful we are for them.
Maryann's special attention to Heller's day will always be remembered!

Heller's kindnesses inspired many on December 22nd. His family could not have asked for a more beautiful day filled with the joy of giving. We are so delighted with the response from the many many people who shared their kindnesses in Heller's memory.
